I would like a tutorial on how to make a safari cake as I would like to make one for my father in laws 60th birthday,if not if you have any tips or ideas for me? Thanks.

I seem to remember, I think, that on the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/paulbradfordsugarcraftschool) there are class pictures, and I am sure that one student did a Safari cake. Alternatively if you Google SAFARI CAKE and click on images, then there are loads to choose from although most seem to be for children!

once you have found the images you like as suggested by meg a bakes,then decide how many tiers and what part of the safari you want- do you want trees and animals or a jeep with people etc. Break down each part and then choose the parts from the tutorials that suit. masie parish has a really good video on how to do animals.tell us what bit you need to make and we will help you with each bit as you go along x

Hi, thanks i’ll have alook and put some ideas together.i took a picture of one from cake international that I like with the airbrushing effect so I’ll take some ideas from that one aswel.also next week I’m doing the cute duck cake and on one of the lessons Paul mentions there is a tutorial on how to stack the cakes but I can’t find it or the link can you please send me the link.

If you go here http://www.cakeflix.com/online-cake-decorating-courses/box-explosion-cake which is in the free/beginners section Paul shows how to stack cakes. You can also see stacking in any of the tutorials which has cake tiers, one example is the rose wedding cake, there are lots more, just scroll down the tutorials and you’ll see them all.
