Scale down recipe using reckoner

Hi I have scaled down Paul’s chocolate cake to a 7″ tin
But What do you do when you scale down recipe and you get 2.4 eggs ?
Do you put 2 or 3 in ?
And 4.2 teaspoons of oil .
i am new to baking so sorry if this is a silly question.

Hi Shirley

Anything which is .5 and over is rounded up anything under is rounded down. So 2.4 eggs is 2 .
The 4.2 tsp oil is straight 4 tsp.
