Shoe keeps bracking

Hi, I have attempted 3 times now to make a shoe and every time when I let the shoe air dry for 2 days it breaks?

I’m using flower modeling White paste/icing ….

The breakage area is alway just below the heel towards the sole so at the softish point where there is no support under the arch of the foot?

Please help as I’m desperate to make one of these for friends but failing and it’s frustrating

Thank you everyone 🙂

Hi kpsdeliciouscakery

I find I need a lot longer than two days to dry shoes. Now I roll the paste out thicker and give it at least a week before attempting to move it. The place where your shoe is breaking is the weakest point, nearly everyone has the same problem with that spot.
Try and dry the shoe in a room with constant warmth rather than varying temperatures, this will help dry it out without causing condensation and humidity. Unfortunately the flower paste attracts moisture from the air which affects the drying time. It can happen in the winter when the weather is cold and damp and in the summer if the weather is humid. Just give yourself plenty fo time, it will dry eventually.
