i am making a 3 tier cake and the bottom is 12″ square. i was doing 12, 9,and 6 would this cover 200 people. if not what other size could i do with 12″ square bottom. would it look silly 12, 10 and 8.

12, 10, and 8, 4″ tall would serve roughly 152. You may want to start with a 14″ bottom or consider going higher than 3 tiers. 14″, 12″,10″, will serve 217.
