Sponge on chocolate or chocolate on sponge?
hi,
I am doing a three tier cake, Customer has asked for top two tiers to be choc with choc ganache and bottom to be sponge with buttercream. Will the sponge hold up the chocolate or will it be too heavy? Should I put the chocolate on the bottom and then top two sponge? (yields similar portions and customer is fine with either way) thanks

I think I would probably have the chocolate as the base cake, ganache is pretty heavy. Other members may have different ideas.
