SQUARE CASTLE CAKE

Hi

I am making a castle cake this week for a girls 1st birthday.

I am making 10″ square 7″ square and 4″ round. Its all in white and pink.

I know this might be a silly question (it is to me) but I am really having trouble visualising a square cake with round towers on the corners.
Do I need to cut the corners at an angle or cut a half circle in the corners for the towers to fit?

As I say sorry for the silly question it just seems to be confusing me.

Hi jb1958

There are hundreds of images in google for square castle cakes. This link should take you to the images:

Hope they help unconfuss you. You don’t need to cut the corners, just place the round towers flush to the side of the corner. The images will make that more clear. Sometimes we all get a mental block so your question is not at all silly. x
