Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
Storage for the Teddy Bear Cake
Hi I am making the 3D Teddy Bear Cake for a Christening this coming Sunday, but i am wondering,
1.do you have to let the sugarpaste dry overnight before you put the buttercream on it
2. Will the buttercream keep fresh in the box if i deliver it on the Friday Morning?
I have made the cake twice before but have always had the luxury of making it a couple of days in advance and not had to worry
thank you in advance

Hello annascakes
It isn’t necessary to let the sugarpaste dry completely and yes the buttercream will be fine. To keep the cake/buttercream fresh store the cake in a cardboard cake box and keep it in a cool room away from any direct heat like radiators and sunshine through windows
Thank you so much MIWL that is really helpful, i can rest easy now
