hi can the stripe method on the topsy tuvy cake be applied to a round cake would you get the same effect

I should imagine the shape of the topsy turvy creates the image of that effect, whereas a round cake would probably create straight stripe image. I haven’t done either but well worth having a practice with, Have a try on a small dummy.
