sugarpaste or gumpaste decorations on buttercream cakes

I am a starter in cake world. Fortunately, I’m begining to get orders for, mostly cakes covered with buttercream rather than sugarpaste. I am not very good in piped flowers or any other piping decorations but excellent in using sugarpaste/gumpaste.   The questions:1) can I decorate buttercream cakes with sugarpaste?  2) Can I leave  eg sugarpaste/gumpaste flowers on the cakes overnight? 3) Can I leave the decorated cake in the normal household fridge? 4) Is it possible for you to have tutorials on ways to decorate buttercream cakes.  Appreciate the response.

Yes,you can use gum paste decorations on buttercream, and they will be ok left overnight.  But, your room temp can not be too warm,  not good for the buttercream.  Usually  fondant (sugarpaste) kept in a household refrigerator will sweat when taken out.  Usually they are kept in special commercial refrigerators which have a low humity factor.
