hello can I use the supermarket box that you just add water to of royal icing for stacking and securing cakes in the same way of making it with egg whites xxx

If the box says Royal icing then it should be ok. The box mix will either contain dried egg whites or merriwhites which when reconstituted behave as normal egg whites. Following the instructions correctly will give best results. xx
