Topsy turvy structure cake

When making a topsy turvy cake, which involves making a metal strucure, are the cakes st risk of sliding off. Or partially sliding? Will the ganache hold the cake well enough?

All the boards on which the cakes sit on have their centre holes. This allows the structure to slide through the cake and board to make a sturdy fixture. Use a dense cake recipe to ensure a strong cake texture which lends itself to the slight slanting pressure. The ganache will be shell-like protection which will keep the cakes safe.
