Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
Transporting a floating tiered cake
I was interested to hear in the Poppy Wedding Cake tutorial that you used to send out about 50% of your cakes from the bakery with floating boards ā did that not make transporting the complete stacked cake more risky? Iād be worried that it might tip over a bit and keep knocking the sides of the cake box with each pot-hole in the road! How did you find it?

Hello cakesbydelphine
Personally I have never transported floating tiers. I usually set them up at the venue providing early access is given to the room.
I think your question would be best answered by either Paul or David. If you leave your question in the comments section beneath the poppy cake tutorial, it will be seen by either Paul or David. They are better qualified to answer on their own experience. Hope this helps. š
