Triathlon cake

I have to make a triathlon cake, and want to carve a winding road around the bottom tier of the cake, I have looked on the tutorials but can’t find anything that may help. Also, has anyone any suggestions if I use an 8″ round bottom tier what size the top should be.
TIA

Hello Sally

Paul hasn’t done any winding road tutorials but there are some really good ones online. If you search in google
‘winding road cake’ there is a step by step photo tutorial in Cake Central. Look also in google images for ideas which can be incorporated with the photo tutorial. My computer is on the go- slow and won’t let me set a link but you’ll find it. You’ll need a 6″ cake for the top if your bottom one is an 8″. Post again if you need more information.
