im Making a 4 tier stacked cake, the bridal couple have said they want a light fruit cake, will this cake take the weight of another 3 tiers on top of it?

Fruit cakes can be stacked on top of each other but it would be unwise to stack a fruit cake on top of a sponge. A light fruit cake will take the weight of sponge cakes but I wouldn’t stack a heavy a rich fruit cake on it. As long as you dowel each tier of light fruit cake there is no problem. Follow the guidance Paul gives in the wedding cake tutorials. Hope this helps.
