Hi
I googled how to make violets from fondant and got a lovely tutorial from youtube. They look quite easy.
Good luck,
Jackie ps how the link works
Thank you Jackie, only problem is where di I get the equipment in the video to make them, there was no sound or details, looks like I will just have to wing it. With kind regards lynnie
Hi Lynnie1
The tutorial is using simple five petal cutters and modelling tools all of which can be bought in your local cake decorating store or cheaply online, just google fondant modelling tools and you’ll see loads of stuff on ebay You don’t have to have those cutters, if you’ve got some PME plunger blossom cutters they’ll work just as well. The leaves can be cut free hand and veined with any pointy instrument by marking a centre line and a few going to the centre from the sides. A ball tool will help with cupping and frilling the flowers Have a look at a real leaf to see how it’s veined. If you don’t want to use wires just group the little flowers and leaves together on a small ball of fondant and stick them down in an posy arrangement. For more tutorials either search in youtube for ‘how to make small fondant blossoms’ or look on this site under flowers. You can also buy pre made small blossoms, a small bag costs as little as just over a pound. If you’re having difficulties sources anything just post again.
