Help I made a cake with brown colour paste and when I put letters on the water ran and has really marked it. How can I get it off

If you’ve got some brown petal dust try using a small amount and brush it on the lines. It will help matt it down a little. The problem now is it has dried, if you tinker with it with liquid it will get worse. You could also try a little vodka, wait for it to dry and see how it looks. Another thing I do (and it needs practice!) is to make a paste from the original icing and very gently apply to the affected area then either dab it with powder colour or icing sugar if I’m using white icing. You’d have to be very careful how you make the application if you try this, it can easily go wrong. I use smoothers or the warmth of my hands to level off the repair. Hope you manage to remove it.
