What depth cake do you use?
I have been watching your tutorials for about 6 months now and am ready to try my hand at one of your carved cakes. I am from the US and bake 2″ deep cakes and your cakes look deeper can you please tell me if you use 2, 3, or 4 inch deep cakes in your tutorials.

Most recipes in the UK use the 3″ standard cake pans. Paul uses the standard pans as seen in the moist chocolate cake tutorial http://www.cakeflix.com/free-cake-decorating-courses/chocolate-cake-preparation
If you would like your cakes deeper this can be achieved by slightly increasing the ingredients.
