Just google cake decorating dowels and lots of suppliers come up including ebay and Amazon. Local cake decorating shops have them as well.

I get mine from www.cakecraftshop.co.uk or www.cakecraftworld.co.uk (the same company, different sites), but The Range are also now stocking a lot of PME products (well mine in Swindon is anyway, and also on-line) and are also reasonably priced.

www.winsorcakecraft.co.uk also sell them, they have a quick delivery service to. 79p each for the long ones

I’m now using poly-dowels. So much easier as you can cut them with scissors. There’s two different sizes and for extra strength you can put four of the small dowels into one big dowel. Lots of places are selling them now if you google them.

Hi everyone, like doodlecake I also use poly dowels, they are so easy to use. They are like straws but really strong but like doodlecake says they cut easily with scissors….although i used the thicker ones for the first time just the other day for a weddng cake and they were a lot more difficult to cut but i still would’nt use any other type now.I got mine from thecakedecoratingcompany.co.uk. give them a try, they’re great.
