you could do reindeer instead of horses perhaps, and instead of the pointy top you could have a chimney, with Santa and his boots sticking out, There could be lots of little gifts scattered around the carousle, and a holly and ivy wreath around the bottom….hope that helps at least a bit!

And battery operated Christmas lights on the top, perhaps have a looping garland going around the top tier held with small poinsettia flowers which can be made using either the rose caylx cutter or daisy cutter. If you sat the cake on a large square cake drum that too could be decorated with a Christmas scene like a snow man, Christmas trees, old fashioned street light and some carol singers. Paul and David’s Christmas cake book http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1844488837 has lots of ideas for figures which could be scaled down and Santa’s sleigh. Ideas could be boundless. Oooo what a lovely idea!

Thanks everyone for wonderful tips , my carousel cake is sure going to be a hit , just one problem I am not able to find reindeer mould , all I could find is their head moulds and not a prancing or standing reindeer. Also that fancy horse mould is soooo expensive , I don’t sell cake I make them for friends and family, was hoping if anybody knows where to find cheap moulds
Madeitwithlove : it’s so easy to make figures while watching videos , comparatively difficult while reading , I love. Pauls book but I am not that expert to make them without a video tutorial ,

Hi Neha28

Found this https://www.prettywittycakes.co.uk/shop/moulds-moulds/leaping-deerreindeer-mould although not what I would consider particularly cheap but fairly similar in size to the horses. You could use a PME reindeer cutter. To give it a 3D effect cut two out and let them dry, then place a small ball of fondant in the middle of one and place the second on top. There will be a small separation gap. Decorate as you would like. Alternatively there are leaping reindeer cookie cutters, however they may be a little on the large side.

I found this site with reindeers on too, the one with the sleigh and reindeers looked such good value, I’ve bought one! http://www.emlems.co.uk/CHRISTMAS-SILICONE-MOULDS.html
I love the idea of fairly lights, especially as you can get battery ones now.
