Cecilia’s love of sugar craft began when she trained as a teacher of Home Economics, more years ago than she cares to remember!
Over next 12 years, she made cakes for friends and family, and then a local cake decorating supplier. As a founder member of The British Sugarcraft Guild in Edinburgh (with which she is still heavily involved), Cecilia learned many more new skills, especially flower making. Her skills came in handy when she became a partner in The Cake and Chocolate Shop – producing celebration cakes and teaching classes in cake decoration.
This lead to a lecturer’s post at Edinburgh College (where she met Paul). Cecilia says it is such a privilege to have been able to combine her two life-long passions: teaching and cake decoration throughout her life.
