hundreds and thousands

Hi all

Ive been asked to do a cake that is completely covered in hundreds and thousands/sugar strands. I thought yeah no probs, will be easy (ha I hear you say!!) but then wondered how do I get them to stay on the sugarpaste? Do they go on sugarpaste?? If they do, do I roll it out, put them on then put the sugarpaste on the cake???? HELP ME PLEASE lol

I would use buttercream on the cake and cover it whilst still a little soft. Should stick.
Good luck. Should look fun 🙂

I’m really taken with the idea of a sprinkle cake. I googled it and there are quite a few pictures and tutorials.
