Mickey Mouse Cake

Is there any 3D standing,up tutorial for the above which I have to make for my nephew. This has to be carved out of cake and standing up. Is there any template I can use to make the face/mouth. You mention the following tutorial which I Have already looked at /www.howtocookthat.net/public_html/mickey-mouse-cake/. Also if there is any advise, you can offer.
Thank you.

Hi Sky Cakes

I haven’t been able to source any standing up carved Mickey mouse cake tutorials. However, the best guide you can follow for a standing figure is Paul’s Santa tutorial which can easily be adapted for a Mickey figure. Here it is:

Santa Claus Cake

All the internal support structure would be the same, although you could scale it down if you wanted to. For Mickey templates look in google images for “free Mickey mouse templates”. There are lots there which can be download and used as guides for shaping features, clothing, hands and legs. Alternatively, how about making a large edible cake topper instead? There are some good tutorials in youtube for 6″ standing figures of Mickey and possibly friends. If you’d like to take that route search either in google or in youtube for ‘standing Mickey Mouse cake or have a peek here:

If I come across any thing else I’ll post again in this thread. Hopefully other members may be able to help.
