1. Making the internal structure

Rose shows us how to make the internal structure without using any wood so no messy wood shaves in your kitchen! Always good news. Rose has already drilled the holes but fear not as all is explained.

2. Stacking the cake

In this lesson, Rose places and stacks the cake in and around the structure. As no one will be eating this cake Rose doesn’t layer or fill the cake but of course you can fill it with buttercream, ganache or whichever filling you would like.

3. Carving the body

So we see here that it’s all about little bits at a time. Not cutting huge sections off in one foul swoop just to be fast, but small considered cuts. Keep spinning the cake around and making sure it’s the same either side.

4. Finishing the body and carving the head

So this is a much simpler bit of carving as the head will be built up with sugarpaste.

5. Covering the body

Rose now covers the body and shows us how to smooth it all together to get rid of any joins.

6. Smoothing the body and making the legs

In this lesson, Rose smooths the body and brings definition to the hips and so on. She then creates one of the legs and shows how to bring about a natural shape.

7. Texturing

In this lesson, Rose first of all builds up the chest area of the wolf and then shows us the three stages of texturing the body to get the most realistic finish.

8. Covering the head

Here, Rose covers the head and then begins to form muzzle. Rose uses her pme dresden tool and water to blend the joins around the head and body.
