Chocolate ganache too hard inside the cake

I would like to know how to keep the ganache soft for the filling inside the cake as mine seems to harden and i do not like this. I imagine adding butter would help but i dont know how much. Would anyone have a recipe for this. I would be extremely grateful.

Hello briege2212

You’ll need to make two different ganches, one for filling and one for crumb coat. For filling, you’re welcome to try my recipe for an 8″ 3 layer cake here:

Piping ganache

If you like lots of filling it may not be enough, just make a little more.
For crumb coat make the normal ganache which you’ve been making.
If you need more information post again, hope the recipe helps.
