Because of high costs, some people prefer to order a small tiered, decorated cake for the cake-cutting ceremony, and have a cutting cake for additional portions such as a sheet cake. This doesn’t have to be highly decorated as it is sliced up in the kitchen of the venue, to serve additional guests. However, it can be simply crumb coated and iced to make it appear the same as the tiered cake.
