how to prepare and stack a 3 tier wedding cake with dummy tiers??

I am making a 3 tier square wedding cake, and the bride wanted a stacked cake, alls w the wedding cake is for the 9th of May, until friday she contacted me to ask if i can now make it the same 3 tiers, but between the tiers she now wants covered dummy tiers, i have not constructed a cake this way. the bride wants all the blossoms and flowers to be overhanging and some on the very edge on top of the ivory surrounding each tier, The tiers are bottom 12 inch, middle tier 9 inch and top tier 6 inch, the bottom 12 inch tier will be on an iced 13 inch drum, which will then be set on an iced 15 or 16 inch drum, all to be constructed at the venue obviously the bottom and middle tiers will be dowelled, do i dowel the dummies?? Also i am unsure of the cake drum sizes, for the 9inch cake do i set it on a 10inch cake drum?and an 8inch dummy and 6inch cake on a 7inch cake drum? and 5inch dummy , all my knowledge and wedding cake making over the years has desserted me. how do i attach the dummies to the bottom and middle tiers, is it what i am thinking Royal icing?? help please, pulling my hair out, Madeitwithlove if you are reading this or Paul , i know this sounds a silly question, but i had everything planned and now i am panicking

Hello treacle

Please don’t panic because that will make you very tired! plus you still have time to sort this out. I have a wedding on May 3 so I can understand that you’re getting a little anxious.
Lets start slowly:
The 12″ cake will be sitting on a 13″ drum which will be set on either a 15 or 16″ drum so it looks pleasing, that bit is done.
What size are the in-between dummies going to be? From your description it sounds to be like the dummies are going to be smaller to creat a floating tier so flowers can be place underneath right to the edge of the tier below. Is the design similar to this?

Here is an answer which may help:

and a video here using round cakes but the principle is the same:
