Mrs Jones’ vanilla sponge

Sorry I forgot to ask is the vanilla sponge recipe suitable for stacking the 6″ cakes and would it be better to use dowells? Thanks in advance. xxx

If you intend icing it with fondant, it would be best to err on the side of caution and dowell. Please let me know if you need further information. 🙂
