Hello Janani

All the ingredients for fondant and modelling chocolate used in the tutorials are commercially manufactured and purchased through various suppliers which are posted here;
http://www.cakeflix.com/online-cake-decorating-courses/free/suppliers.
The product shelf life will be printed on the packaging.
In the tutorial library you will find recipes for dark chocolate ganache, white chocolate ganache, & buttercream. By using the search facility and entering key words like ‘shelf life’, ‘ganache’ and ‘butter cream’, you should be able to see answers on how to store these. If you would like to attempt making your own fondant there are recipes to experiment with here:
http://www.designer-cakes.c/questions?s=how+to+make+sugar+paste+from+scratch.
Posted on the site are recipes for modelling chocolate here:
http://www.cakeflix.com/questions?s=white+modeling+chocolate.
You will find gum paste recipe here:
