Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A

I am hoping someone on here can help me out a little. So I am deciding which stand mixer to use. And I’m pretty sure Paul uses a Kichenaid in some of his videos. But I have been hearing a alot of pros and cons for both the kitchen aid artisan and the kenwood mixer. Does anyone have an opinion on which one is better for cake mixes ect. Just want to make sure I buy the right one if I fork out that much money. 🙂 thanks!

There are several answers on the site about stand mixers. If you type in the search box ‘stand mixer’ or look here http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/good-quality-stand-mixer you’ll find the comments. As with most kitchen appliances, what might suit for one person doesn’t necessarily suit another. It’s good to shop around and find a machine which will be most efficient for you personally. I hope some of the comments in the link help.

I recently had this very dilemna, after days of research it led me to the conclusion that if you had a Kenwood you loved it and wouldn’t change and the same for Kitchenaid. I went with the Kenwood because I got a really good price at Costco at the time I happened to be looking. However if it’s going to be sitting on the bench looking pretty then the kitchen aid has a much wider range of colours.

I’ve got a Kenwood which I absolutely love but I agree with pixiedell as there are also some great comments about the Kitchenaid. For me personally I’ll stick to Kenwood as my mixer has been so reliable and its also constantly on

Hi, I recently had the same questions and ended up going with the kitchen aid and it is AMAZING! I am literally in love. It is easy to use, quality, quiet I am struggling to find a down side really 🙂
