volcano cake
I have had an order for a volcano cake and looking at images,some seem to have real smoke coming out of the top ? anybody got any idea how that is done ? thank you

I made one last year, it was a dinosaur themed cake with a smoking volcano. I used these tutorials for ideas to make the cake:

For the smoke I used a piece of dry ice. Unfortunately we can’t get really small amounts in this country. If you have a cocktail bar near you they may be able to give you a small amount. You can buy it online, google ‘dry ice suppliers’. Dry ice can give very nasy burns, if you’ve never used it before have a read up on, carriage, handling and ventilation. Suppliers will normally give instructions. Hope this helps.
