Wired Gum Paste Roses – how do I attach to tiered cake?

Hi everyone – can someone point me in the right direction for advice on how to attach my gum paste roses to the 4 tiers of the wedding cake I am shortly to make? I’ve made the roses, all on individual wires and will need to use about 4 of them (and then some small filler flowers) on each posy on the cake. I’ve bought posy picks (I think too small) but I just don’t know how to go about actually ‘joining up’ the roses. I won’t be stacking the cake or attaching the roses until I get to the venue as it’s a 4 hour drive from here – oh and this is my first wedding cake! Feeling a bit out of my depth now – please help me if you can – and many, many thanks, Dee

Each of the tutorials show the technique which is required for placing the flowers even if your flowers are not as big as the ones Paul has made. Posy picks come in different sizes to help you get a nice neat finish.

Good luck with your first wedding!
