Hi there, for the canopy of the cradle, can we use fondant instead oh gum paste? Why do you use gum paste to begin with & how is it different to fondant? Thank u!!

This question is similar to yours http://www.cakeflix.com/questions/mixing-decision Gum paste, flower paste and petal paste are all similar products with slight variations in how the ingredients are mixed and their refinement. The baby cradle canopy needs a little gum paste to help it hold it’s shape. You can try making it with fondant if you like but I think you’ll find gumpaste will give a better finish. Hope this helps.
