Cake Dowells

Hi, can you recommend what size cake Dowells I should use for a 3 tier cake? First tier is 12 x 4, second tier is 10 x 4 and last tier is 8 x 4 inches?

Hi Natasha

Most dowels are 12″ long so you cut off at the point where it is level with the cake. Have a look at Paul’s free tutorial on stacking cakes here:
