Cake drum for 3 tier cake

Hi..Im making a 3 tier 10, 8, 6, wedding cake. Each tier will be 2 cakes heigh to get good depth. Will one cake drum be able to take the weight? The cakes are being covered in ganache and buttercrram cream so no fondant.

Many thanks

Hi gucci906

Have a look at how Paul stacks in the vintage pearl cake tutorial where he uses whole cake heights

I did something similar for one of my hubby’s major birthdays with smaller cakes. I used two cake drums for the base. I’m sure other members will give helpful comments.
