Is there a cutting guide anywhere that ties in with the portion calculators? The square cake isn’t too bad but the round is a little more tricky! Thank you.

hi Julie, we always used the portion numbers quoted on the calculator for decorated or cutting cakes.

Just select the round, then size options and I would go with 2″x1″ portions as cutting cake and you should get your portions that way….

Hi David, thank you for your reply. I don’t think I worded my question very well as what I am after (I think) is a template that shows the best way to cut the round cake to get the number of portions. I’ve seen them before but for different portion amounts so just wondered if there were any for the round cakes as per these cake calculators. I’m OK with the square cakes as they are easy to divide! Many thanks.

There isn’t a diagram cutting guide on the site but there are hundreds of guides online which show any combination and shape cake portions. Search ‘cake portions cutting guide’ to see them all.
