Christmas cupcakes

Hi I am totally new to this which is why this may sound a very stupid question but have been trying to find the tiny white balls that Paul uses to circle one of the designs of the Christmas cupcakes. Is anybody able to tell me what they are called and where I can buy them from. Thank you from a complete novice.

Hi Twinklestar101

Paul used silver balls, you can find them in any supermarket in the baking aisle or you can get them here

Hello tstevenson5

The gel is made by CK products. Paul got his from Frankly Sweet but I can’t see it on Frances McNaughton’s site. CK products can be found on Amazon, I can only see it mainly on American and Australian sites. I haven’t tried ebay so may be worth having a quick look.
You can see similar products here http://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/icing-writers-and-gels
The company Dr Oetker also make a similar product which can be found in the baking aisle of most supermarkets. An easier way would be to make a parchment piping bag and fill it with it some ordinary piping gel and use in the same way. Piping gel can be coloured with gel colours, lustres and edible glitters, a little colour goes a long way, add a little at a time until the right shade is achieved, same for lustres and glitter.
Hope this helps a little.
