Disney clubhouse

Hi all
Another question sorry! I am making two mickey mouse clubhouse cakes at the weekend. I have handmade all the characters and am very pleased with them. The cake itself is basically a dome shaped house with a big black mickey head and ears on top. Can’t decide whether to make the head from a ball cake or whether to make it from rice crispy treats?? Just wondering how stable the ball cake would be on top during transportation etc? Very grateful for any advice 🙂

Hi Nind81

You could do it with either if you have the option to assemble the head at the venue. Rice krispie head would be lighter but would still need securing with a skewer. Another alternative would be to make it with a styrofoam ball covered in fondant with big gumpaste ears. There are a couple of good videos on youtube by laurapoopie showing Disney club cakes. Just an idea, hope it helps
