Do brides provide wedding cake stand

Hi all
Might be a very silly question but I’m doing my first wedding cake in 2 weeks and I was wondering whether the bride provides a cake stand or does the venue or is the cake decorator supposed to do this. Something I haven’t thought about until now.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Scarlett

I guess all three could be right. Some brides may have a stand, or have one in mind and may decide to either buy their own or hire it from a supplier who has what they want. Most venues who are accustomed to hosting weddings will provide stands but is best to check with them and the bride. If you have wedding cake stands you too could also hire it out, or include the hire cost in the cost of the cake. If you do provide it I’d suggest taking a separate deposit for the stand to ensure safe return. Perhaps other members will say what they do. x
