First Wedding Fayre!

So i’m booked to attend my first wedding fayre in September and was wondering if anyone had any tips? Im constantly changing my mind about what designs of cakes to take with me. But im sure I’ll figure it out!

My biggest question is samples! How much cake samples to take etc…

Any tips or advice?

Thanks Choco_Mamaxx

Wedding fayre’s are the most cost effective means of marketing to potential brides.

Having been involved on over 300 you very quickly find your rhythm and work out what the best layout and pitch is for you.

We will be sharing all the things we’ve learned about getting the most from a wedding show in our Pro membership which we aim to be live July. In the meantime here are some hints and tips:

  • Identify a way of measuring orders you get originated from the show  (use an offer code or something)
  •  Make the stand look the best you can (we were often the last to get away as we had so so many accessories and props making the stand look its best)
  • Better to have fewer great cakes on show than any that have been rushed or damaged
  • Make sure you have a ready supply of fresh samples. Better to have too many (good networking tool for other exhibitors) than to run out. Cut them into small pieces and don’t have too many of the same kind on show at the same time – people will get greedy.
  • Give yourself plenty of time to set up.

Just a few of the key points.

Good luck, kind regards David
