Glass of whisky

Hi, I’m making a cake for a friend who wants her dad sitting on a chair with a glass of whisky in his hand, I can do everything else but have no idea how to make the glass of whisky with sugarpaste and how to get it to look like a glass if you understand what I mean??? Anyone done this before??

hard boiled sweets, melted then shaped around a mini glass shape and cooled quickly in freezer… not sure if this will work but have added a link.
