Golf Bag

Hi, I was wanting to make the golf bag at half the size , or around 12 inchs long , 30 cms, do i still use a 6 inch cake or should they be smaller? Will the bag look to wide? Do i print my templets at 75% the size? Help please.Thanks

Hi marylou

If you want to reduce your cake from 20″ down to 12″ the dimension of the diameter will need to be be 3″. The templates will have to be reduced to 60% of the original size to keep the same proportions.

I want to make the golf bag on its side not on the stand would I do the round cakes the same way but on the board but smaller or would I have to calve the shape instead thanck you

Hi Vicky

You can do it in the rounds if you want but you’d need to carve a tiny bit off the sides so the cakes sit flush against the flat surface of the board. It would be easier to just make a sheet cake and cut round the shape. There are some good tutorials on youtube which show how to do it. Go into google images and search for ‘golf bag cake’, click of the images which show the tutorials.
