Hi, have successfully made my first human figure!! Must admit I have surprised myself – quite chuffed!! Only problem is that he is wearing a beige coloured suit and it looks a bit “dusty”, also some small cracks – wedding is two weeks tomorrow. Any suggestions gratefully received! Wondered about spraying with clear spray, but not sure.

Hi there, I had that problem with a figure of the monopoly man I made for a cake. I did spray him with the clear glaze you can buy. Make sure you don’t spray too close as you may end up with runs in the spray. Or try the edible glaze that you paint on. It works the same but not as shiny I found. You could always test it on a spare piece of icing and see which finish you like the best.
If you do use the spray put some news paper or covering down first as I had a hell of a job getting it off my kitchen work top !!

Hope that helps
Donna

You need to steam it.I use a clothes steamer, you could do it over a kettle or saucepan if you don,t have one.don,t do it for long just till you get a sheen, you don,t want drips
