Morning. I’ve been searching for a toffee cake recipe (to stack and carve). I was very helpfully directed to a thread but the recipe most mentioned on that doesn’t mention which type of flour and also salt is mentioned in the method but not the recipe. I’m a complete beginner so will undoubtedly get this catastrophically wrong. Paul mentions a toffee cake in his teddy bear tutorial which I’m about to try. Does anyone have Paul’s recipe for toffee cake? Thank you

Catherine’s recipe doesn’t mention leavening so I assume it is self raising flour. I think the salt has omitted accidentally. If you keep reading through all the answers you’ll see another recipe from a different member and more discussions about Catherine’s toffee cake.

I have had a lot of compliments for Wrights toffee cake mix – its delicious and so easy.

Thanks Madeitwithlove and Gracecay – had just actually picked up Wright’s toffee cake mix in Sainsbury’s yesterday so will give both recipes a go. Many thanks.
