Problem with my fondant

I am trying to make the ruffle rose on the side of my cake, but my fondant is drying and cracking so fast after rolling it out before I start to shape it. I am using Satin Ice fondant, is there way I can fix this problem?

Kneading a little vegetable shortening into your fondant before rolling will help keep it supple. if you’re using quite a lot of icing sugar for rolling out on your fondant will dry and crack, it’s better to smear a little of the shortening onto the roll out board to prevent the fondant from sticking, hopefully that will do the trick.
