Pug dog cake

I have been asked to make a pug dog cake. I thought I would do it laying down and airbrush. It’s quite daunting as I’ve only done a few carved cakes but will give it a go.
I keep thinking of the shape and am a bit at a loss as to what shape cakes to use for the body and head to carve out the shape.
Has anyone done a dog lying down and can tell me what cakes they used.
Any help will be appreciated

Thanks x
