Red buttercream for the horny devil cake
The red buttercream i have made for this has a bitter taste. I think its because of the amount of food colouring. Could you tell me how to avoid this

Squire’s kitchen do an Extra red gel paste, here is their link http://www.cakedecoratingstore.co.uk/red-orange-colouring/. Red and black are always very difficult to make because your’re adding to such a pale base. It’s always better to make the icing up the day before to allow the colour to develop.
