Will Paul be doing a video on he plain sponge recipe.similar to his chocolate sponge. I’m using a heavy Genoese sponge just now and it does the job but just wanting to try different ones.if anyone has any suggestions they would be great thanks.

If you look at today’s recent questions and click on ‘timings for decorating’,  you will see a recipe link posted by the person who asked this question. The recipe is for an oil based vanilla sponge, it may be of possible interest to you.

Hi Allan, the BBC Good Food website is a good place to start looking for alternative recipes. Try searching for vanilla cake rather than sponge cake.
