Stainless steel cutters

Hi everyone, when I was at the Birmingham cake show I came across a wonderful stall full of stainless steel cutters of all shapes and sizes, the stall was so busy, I managed to get his card but have lost it. I cant remember the name of the company but does anyone remember seeing the stall and name ?
Thanks
Sandra

Hi Sandra

Could it have been Stephen Benison at Sugar Artistry, www.sugar-artistry.co.uk, or http://www.hawthornehill.co.uk/, the other one was a guy who made his own cutters but they were made of tin plate, here is his web site www.finecutsugarcraft.com. I looked at the fine cuts which were all shapes and sizes, he also said he would be happy to make bespoke cutters. Hawthorn Hill had the very specialised cutters, absolutely beautiful. I’ll be getting those at the ExCel. I can’t think of anyone else. There were soooo many, my head was reeling! If you can remember anything about the stall it might jog my memory. x

Hi, thank you, it was the fine cut stall I had been looking at, I just looked at the hawthorn hill website, they have some good moulds but not the cutters I am looking for. I am after some animal cutters that are small enough for cupcakes, I have 200 cupcakes for a conference the children at my school are hosting so I am trying to think of novel ways to decorate them, any ideas would be very much appreciated x

I was wondering whether you could use rice paper cupcake toppers, it would be easier than using cutters and moulds since you have so many to make. I’ve found cutters here http://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/mini-animal-bird-cookie-cutters, although they don’t give dimensions so may still be too big for cupcakes. How about some of the cupcake decoration ideas in the tutorial library? Just found this as well http://www.wilton.com/idea/Jungle-Fun-Cupcakes-Scene, once you’re in the page scroll down for instructions to make the animals. Hope you find some of these helpful.

Don’t forget Noah’s Ark tutorial, some ideas there as well, could make mini versions or just heads of the animals.

Hi Sandra. Have you thought about using moulds instead? I bought a fabulous mould which makes cute dog heads from alphabet moulds www.alphabetmoulds.com. They would be the perfect size for cupcakes.

Hi, There was a stall there called Fiesta Cake Decorating Supply (American I think) www.suppliesforcakes.com which had a huge selection of metal type cutters. Another one is Kitbox.who do a huge selection.
