I have been using Stork for perfect cakes tub for my cakes with excellent results . The stork is now changed to a vegan formula. Do you add replace some of it with butter & if so how much in proportion wise? I have been experimenting by adding 1/8 & 1/4 of stork with butter but I feel the cake texture is dense when I add more butter. What advice do you have ? thanks a mil.

The tub Stork contains a small amount of buttermilk which renders it non-vegan. The block stork does not contain buttermilk and is therefore fine for vegans. As far as I know, this has always been the case for many years.

I do use the block sometimes, which is vegan. First, I beat room temperature stork with sugar for several minutes. This helps to incorporate the air needed to create light, fluffy cakes.

The reply from them was that the new vegan formula would give the same results.

I now use the vegan stork just the way I normally use in cakes & I find it’s perfect too.
May be the vegan formula is somewhat better than other vegan spreads that I use.
