Welcome to the Cake Decorators Q&A
sugarpaste and the fridge
I’ve just read another question about cakes and heat and I think in the answer it mentioned if your cake is covered with Massa Tiscino paste you can put it in the fridge is that right?

Hi ctennant
Yes apparently that is correct! Carmas Massa was developed for use in hot and humid countries and can be refrigerated without the normal spoilage associated with moisture. I use this brand but haven’t as yet tried it in the fridge. If you type in the searchbox ‘fondant in the fridge’ you’ll see other several pages of related topics. Click on the ones most relevant to your question to see member discussions.
Another way of to prevent moisture spoilage of iced cakes is to double box them. Eack box should be completely sealed with strong parcel tape to prevent any moisture entering the boxes. Bring to room temperature in the boxes.
Hope this helps, however if you do try it your feedback will be immensly appreciated. x
